What is LIFE Sports Camp?
LIFE Sports Camp is a free week-long program for young people aged 11-17 who enjoy physical activity. Participants are put into teams to play basketball, dodgeball, capture-the-flag, soccer, volleyball and other physical activities. Each day they will hear a Bible-based story or lesson that will be applied to their lives. The camp runs for 5.5 hours, with a free lunch provided daily. Since space is limited, registrants are asked to commit to attending for the full five day program.
LIFE Sports Camp is facilitated by volunteers from Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area, some of whom run drop-in sports programs for youth throughout the school year. They believe that sports provide a positive outlet for young people to keep active and have fun. Several of the organizers are also educators with a great deal of experience teaching children and teens. All of the camp volunteers will have completed a criminal reference check.
The 2025 camp will run on July 21-25, from 8:30am-2pm. For more information, contact the camp organizer, Andrew Giraldi, at 647-705-7199 or agiraldi@gmail.com.
What We Believe
As Christians, we believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and that it contains a message of good news for everyone. Our desire is to share this good news with others, and to help them to understand its importance.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
– John 3:16
I’ve signed [my son] up for all kinds of sports camps—paid or free—and he’s always been excited. But this week was something special! Every morning he was up and ready to go way before camp even opened. Whatever kind of atmosphere you’ve created there, it really made an impression—he came home every day full of energy and stories about all the fun things you did.
